How To Make It
- To make tail that will hang off the pen's end, tie a knot in a 2 1/2-inch piece of colorful embroidery floss. Thread the floss with pretty beads and sequins.
- Tape the end of the floss to the pen's end.
- Cut a 3-foot piece of floss and tape the end to the pen's base near where you taped the tail.
- Wrap the floss tightly around the pen. You can stop if a pattern and add small beads or sequins onto the floss.
- When the pen is fully covered in floss, trim the end and glus it to the last section of wrapped floss.
Notes:
To create pens with bands of color, tape two colors of floss to the end of a pen. Stretch the first color straight down the length of the pen. Wrap a few coils of the second color on top of the first color. Now alternate by wrapping a few coils of the first color on top of the second. Alternate as desired.
