Stapler Blankets

  • Scissors
  • Fabric
  • Yarn or thin ribbon
  • Fiberfill
  • Stapler and staples
  • Permanent markers
  • White glue

    How To Make It

    1. Fold the fabric in half and cut out a piece of fabric in the size you want your blanket to be. Don't make it too large or you will not get your stapler to reach the middle of the blanket to stitch it.
    2. Spread a thin layer of fiberfill between the folded fabric. Staple around the fabric at ½-inch intervals to stitch the blanket to hold the fiberfill in place. Staple a pattern of stitches across the blanket in both directions to give it a quiltable appearance.
    3. If you want, you can draw a pattern or words on your blanket with the marker.
    4. If you want you can glue knotted pieces of yarn or ribbon to accent the stitches.
    5. Make a pile of blankets for your doll or Barbies.
