Bonnets

Easter Bonnet #1 - Moderate

Supplies

  • Heavyweight tissue paper or colored paper
  • 3/4-inch masking tape
  • Double-sided tape
  • Thick white glue
  • Silk Flowers
  • Foam Eggs
  • Paint and/or stickers for foam eggs

    How To Make It

    1. With help from a friend or parent, place paper over your head and wrap masking tape around the brim. Roll the corners towards the center, securing the edges with double-sided tape.
    2. Decorate your foam eggs with paint or stickers. You can use crepe paper too!
    3. Glue silk flowers and decorated eggs on one side of the hat.
    4. Let glue dry completely.

    Easter Bonnet #2 - Easy

    Supplies

  • Paper Plate
  • Styrofoam Soup Bowls
  • Stapler
  • Glue
  • Crayons or Markers
  • Decoration Supplies (your choice)
  • Ribbon

    How To Make It

    1. Cut the center out of the paper plates.
    2. Staple styrofoam soup bowl to paper plates to form the top of the hat and brim.
    3. Decorate your hat anyway you want. Try using artificial flowers, ribbon, foam eggs, nests, birds, bunnies, bees, crepe paper, etc...
    4. Attach a length of ribbon to each side of the bonnet with the stapler.
    5. Put Bonnet on your head, tie a bow with the ribbon under your chin.

    Easter Bonnet #3 - Very Easy

    Supplies

  • Old or new straw hats
  • Ribbon
  • Artificial flowers
  • Fabric glue

    How To Make It

    1. Glue ribbon around the brim of hat.
    2. Decorate your hat with flowers (why not add some bees, birds, nests, eggs and/or bunnies)
