Candy Apples
Ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/4 cup warm water
red food colouring
10 apples
10 popsicle sticks
Method
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a heavy saucepan.
Cook over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Raise heat
to medium-high. Cook until heat registers 300 degrees F on a candy
thermometer.
- Stir in red food coloring.
- Poke a popsicle stick into each apple in the syrup.
- Stand the apples on wax paper to harden.
