Chocolate Turtles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb soft caramels
  • 2 tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2 squares semi-sweet chocolate

    Method

    1. Melt caramels with cream over hot water. Cool about 10 minutes.
    2. Place pecans on waxed paper in groups of 3 (one for head and 2 for legs).
    3. Spoon caramel mixture over nuts, leaving 3 tips showing. Let stand till set - 30 minutes.
    4. Partially melt chocolate over hot water. Remove from water, stir till melted. Cool. Spread over caramels.
