English Toffee

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (if desired)

    Method

    1. Melt the butter on med low heat, add the sugar. Stir slowly about 10 mins until it turns slightly brown.
    2. Add the nuts and stir about 2 to 3 mins then turn out on buttered Pyrex dish.
    3. This may be frosted with melted Hershey bars and sprinkled with finely chopped nuts.
