Roast Turkey

Method

  1. Make sure cavity of turkey is empty
  2. Wash turkey inside and out with water and pat dry with a paper towel
  3. Stuff turkey with stuffing
  4. Use skewers to hold both turkey openings closed
  5. Rub turkey and legs with margarine
  6. Sprinkle turkey with a little salf and pepper
  7. Place breast side up on a rack in a roaster large enough to hold turkey. Cover with lid or tin foil.
  8. Bake just below center in preheated 400°F oven for 30 minutes
  9. Wash hands with antibacterial soap to get rid of turkey residue on your hands
  10. Reduce heat to 325°F until done. Cook 25-30 minutes per 1 lb (500g). Basting your turkey often makes it moist
  11. Remove lid or tin foil last 15 minutes of cooking
  12. Allow turkey to stand for 15-20 minutes before carving
