Winter can seem like a very long, cold and boring season if you don't know how to have fun with snow. Keep warm and have fun this winter. The time will fly by!
The snow is falling and there is nothing good on television. You want to go outside but you can't face all the cold weather. You are looking forward to the holidays but they are taking forever to get here! What do you do? You log on the Youth Online Club and get hundreds of great ideas on how to make the most out of the winter season.
This winter you can busy yourself experimenting in the kitchen with great hot chocolate and cider recipes. Or try a soup or cookie recipe. Now is the time to pull out all your craft supplies and make holiday gifts for friends and family. Dress appropriately and go sledding or ice skating. Build a snow family in your front yard. Make an igloo and have a sleep-over. Too cold or stormy to go outside? Play games or research snow facts at the club. You can even draw pictures at the club and let the world see your artwork!
Ask your parents to take you on a lights tour. Gather a bunch of friends and ask your parents to rent a hayride for you. I live in Northern Ontario and winter is gorgeous here.
After a snowfall, take out your camera and take pictures of the trees covered in new fallen snow. Develop the pictures and use them as holiday cards this year. Scan them and email me a copy and I will add a winter picture library to the site.
